National Scientific Center for
Education and Research
A scientific center is a research or a higher education
establishment, a scientific group (educational, research), or a department that
performs scientific activities, attainins remarkable and distinct achievements
in the fields of education and research, and implements academic collaborations
both domestically and internationally. The center is to execute the following
objectives:
A) achieving the newest scientific results, and enhancing collaborations to
expand the boundaries of medical sciences and elevating the country's
scientific position
B) establishing a dynamic scientific environment to modulate treatment and
health services of selected centers concentrating on advanced research and
higher educational activities
C) training talented researchers and scolars
D) establishing effective domestic and international scientific contacts
E) recruiting prominent members of scientific board both from inside and
outside the country
F) conducting required researches aimed at resolving the country's intricate
difficulties
G) developing new disciplines in higher education needed in the country
On the basis of the above objectives and definitions, Tehran
Psychiatric Institute was recognized as the National Scientific Center for
Education and Research on April 22, 2002.
